
Advanced Placement (AP) Program
Students at RDFZ XISHAN take year-long College Board approved Advanced Placement courses as indicated in the Course Overview tab.
Concurrently, students must also take required compulsory and elective Chinese courses, and must pass Xuekao Examinations to meet Chinese High School Diploma standards.
As part of learning experience at RDFZ XISHAN, students, upon completion of the AP courses and AP examinations, must engage in a Project-based Learning Module (PBL) in the fourth quarter. Students are engaged in a cross-curricular project designed to provide students opportunities to apply learning in a context outside the classroom simulating real-world environments, problem-solving within a team setting, co-planning, and research and development.
Students are able to become involved in a wide range of extra-curricular activities. There is a broad range of 50+ extra-curricular activities where students can learn to lead, and to participate as part of a collaborative team. Some of the these activities include, Model United Nations, Magazine, Broadcast Radio, Music Club, Dance Club, Media Club, Robotics, Sports teams, to name a few.
