The AP Program employs 52 faculty members including 12 international teachers from Canada, the United States, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, and India. All international teachers have completed post-baccalaureate certification, or have a Master’s degree. Over thirty staff members have Master’s degrees.

 

Every student in the AP program is assigned a mentor for individual guidance and support. The mentor team consists of Chinese teaching staff and senior management staff. The school offers traditional Chinese-themed classrooms specially designed for Calligraphy, traditional Tea Ceremony, and Guqin practices. Modern technology rooms are equipped with MakerSpace 3D Printers, Robotics, wireless high-tech hardware, and Apple’s Movie Maker. New funding has allowed the school to obtain new equipment that includes a lifting bench used in chemistry, Vernier sensors and probes used in physics, and e-microscopes used in biology.

 

Overall, the facilities are superior, and availability of teaching supplies is generous.

 

RDFZ XISHAN SCHOOL AP Center has an extensive international program, ranging from a significant and long-term relationship with Tabor Academy, to student exchanges, to various excursions, to enrolment in several international programs.
